If you’ve been busy trying to stay afloat during the pandemic, then chances are you’ve let some aspects of your life slip behind. My suggestion is to find a routine that you can easily keep up to date with, you don’t want something that takes so long or is so intense that you find yourself wanting to skip your workouts. Buy Things That Make You Look and Feel Good
Chances are there are probably certain items that make you feel and look good. For me, I love having a pretty feminine pair of earrings on, even if I’m just going to be lounging around at home. You may prefer to wear an elegant watch, or even invest in your favorite fragrance or cologne to elevate your mood.
Disconnect When You Can
The trouble with having phones that do so much, is that it can make it much more challenging to disconnect from work emails and calls outside of business hours. I turn my phone on to silent mode when it’s the evening so I’m not constantly bombarded by work emails when I’m trying to relax. You will want to focus on ways you can set boundaries between your work and your free time so you can really relax and reset yourself.
Make Time for Your Loved Ones
There have been numerous studies that have shown the keys to happiness and longevity is often a bustling social life. When we give our all at work, it can be hard to have the energy to make time for those that are important to us. Investing in your closet friendships and family relationships can do wonders for your mental health, energy levels, and happiness. For this reason, they should always be a priority. Set up a regular time to see those you love, even if it’s just planning to meet the first Friday of every month for a drink.
